From The Pastor's Desk

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made:

marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

Psalms 139:14

Praise the Lord, for He is worthy to be praised! There is a saying in this world, "what have you done for me lately?" That is the attitude that we sometimes have with God. maybe we should look at our lives and think about what God has done for us today or even the last minute. At rest, our hearts beat on average 60-80 beats per minute. There is nothing we can do to make our own heart beat, that is the hand of God! When I woke up this morning, something else we cannot do without God, I was breathing. I didn't do anything to cause it, it was a reaction caused by the way God created life.

There are some of us that have more or less than others, that is not that God loves one more than the other. We make choices that determine certain things in our lives, like the jobs we have, how much we put in is how much we will get out. If we barely finish high school we cannot expect to earn what someone that went to college for several years has the ability to earn. And it is the same spiritually. If we never pray, fast, study, and praise we cannot expect the same walk with God as someone who does.

I would like to encourage everyone that reads this to examine their lives. If you don't like the way it is, Change It! If you are not as close to God as you feel you should be, Change It! We are in control of the choices we make, God will not force us to live for Him, talk to Him, or praise Him. He gave us free will to live our lives. He did this so we would have a choice to love Him or not. And in John 14:15 it says, "If you love me, keep my commandments." And there are more than just ten.

If you need encouragement in your walk with God, or you are just starting your walk, if I can help in any way please call on me at any time.

God Bless You,
